Overview
This course is focused on developing advanced knowledge and practical skills in early childhood education, administration and leadership. It covers topics such as fostering a philosophy of quality early childhood education, implementing vision statements for learning programs, guiding staff in quality practices, monitoring and evaluating service provision, ensuring staff awareness of care, learning and development principles, understanding regulatory requirements, legal obligations, best practices and effective communicating and collaboration with stakeholders for a holistic and healthy environment for young children (0-3 years old).
The course aims to equip individuals with the necessary skills to effectively manage and lead an Early Childhood education Centre in alignment with the Ministry for education, ‘National Standards for Early Childhood Education and Care Services (0 – 3 years)’ childcare: Manager MQF 5 and international standards.

Admission Requirements
Certified copy of academic transcript having completed compulsory education (including School Leaving Certificate) and be in possession of qualifications at a minimum level or equivalent level of MQF/EQF level 4 related to the field of early childhood education and care
Applicants to be aged 20 years or older at the start of the programme
English (IELTS level 5) if English is not the native language
Police Conduct Certificate (to be provided by applicant)
Protection of Minors Registration (POMA)
Students will need a PC/laptop and access to the internet in order to access course resources and to participate in online learning.
Students must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Power Point and competent in searching the internet

Overview
The VET level 4 in Adult Care provides fundamental skills necessary for delivering high-quality care to seniors and older people. It covers a wide range of competencies, including understanding aging processes, promoting independence, aiding with daily activities, and creating safe environments. Students learn practical skills in personal care, medication support, and effective communication with elderly individuals and their families.
This qualification prepares individuals for roles in aged care facilities, community settings, or home care services, emphasising empathy, respect, and culturally sensitive care. Completion of this diploma signals readiness for entry-level positions, supporting the well-being of older adults across diverse care settings.
